The crane industry is evolving, and ensuring the competence and safety of your teams is crucial.
When it comes to driving Articulated Mobile Cranes On-Road – a ‘rigid’ truck license doesn’t prepare anyone for the unique characteristics of this type of crane.
There have been some very serious incidents involving articulated mobile cranes; consequently, CICA has developed the free articulated mobile crane on-road course to identify any learning gaps in your teams. After feedback from crane owners, managers, and safety professionals expressing a need for a resource to help them guide their teams through this training, we are introducing a familiarisation course.
We invite you to attend this free Articulated Mobile Crane On-Road Familiarisation Course, a must for managers, crane owners, and health and safety professionals looking to successfully guide their teams through the Articulated Mobile Crane On-Road Course.

This is a comprehensive competency course designed for crane operators to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate articulated mobile cranes safely on roads.
Target audience: Operators who need a formal qualification and competency assessment.
Outcome: Typically leads to a recognised competency certification.
The familiarisation course is designed to give crane owners, managers, and safety professionals i.e. those who don't necessarily operate the crane but work with those who do an understanding of the process and a clear roadmap for guiding their team to successfully completing the CICA Articulated Mobile On-Road Course.
Target audience: Owners, managers, assessors, safety professionals and stakeholders who would benefit from an in-depth understanding of the 'hows' and 'whys' of the CICA Articulated Mobile Crane On-Road Course and how to help their team but do not require verification of competency themselves.
Outcome: Provides knowledge but does not lead to a formal qualification.
The Project is funded by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator’s Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative supported by the Australian Government.
