EASTER CURFEWS LIFTED IN QUEENSLAND
The Department of Transport and Main Roads, Queensland and the Queensland Police Service announced at the end of 2018, that they would be lifting the Christmas and Easter curfews for Heavy Mobile Cranes and Special Purpose Vehicles.
“We commend these two departments for their collaboration and recognition of the needs of our industry”, CICA CEO Brandon Hitch stated on hearing the news, “it is this type of common sense and proactivity to cut red tape that keeps industry moving.”
Mark Mitchell, Director of Heavy Vehicle Policy delivered the news saying, “We are working with the NHVR at present to amend the current Notice to enact these changes.”
